9 Short Thoughts From The Past 2 Weeks

1) Leading edge is bleeding edge. Theres a price to be paid when you lead with your chin. Sometimes youre first across the line and sometimes youre knocked back on your ass. These last two weeks can be summed up by lead-ass-lead.
2) Html newsletters are vastly over-rated. Email is a communications channel and not a publishing channel. I was confusing the two. Now Im not.
3) Graphics are key. I knew that. Now I really believe it. And am acting on it across the board.
4) You have to overdeliver. When you dont, you have to fix it. Honestly.
5) I love the debate from writers about SEO. Let em debate. Im acting.
6) Im starting to really like Youtube as a publishing channel. It has a major part to play in my future publishing adventures. BTW SEO works on Youtube too.
7) Facebook is a giggle but it doesnt scale well for a single author. Too many people dont understand this concept but if theyre lucky, theyll learn about it.
8 ) Twitter is for meeting, Facebook is for chatting, Youtube is for showing. That about sums up social media. Email is for discussing in case you were wondering.
9) Im still excited about what I do for a living. Sometimes overwhelmed by it all but when Im not on my ass, its a grand view.
