Make your own flower tags out of paper
Posted on December 13th, 2010
Supplies
- Scissors
- 1 sheet 10-by-49-in (25-by-125-cm) doublette (double-thick) crepe paper in desired color
- Glue stick
- 1 sheet 8 1⁄2-by-11-in (22-by-28-cm) green cover-weight paper
- 28-gauge floral wire
- Green floral tape
- (Wire glue tape)
- Pencil
- Pen
- Ribbon (optional)
- Hot glue (optional)
Prep the flower
Using scissors, cut a 25-by-4-in (63.5-by-10 cm) strip from the crepe paper (see Fig. 1).

Form the flower shape
Fold the strip in half crosswise three times. Using scissors, create a fringe by cutting ¼-in (6-mm) strips along one edge, stopping ½ inch (13 mm) short of the other edge (see Fig. 2).

Then, create small arch-shaped petals out of the fringed pieces with scissors (see Fig. 3).
