African mask shakes up a classic pot
Posted on September 5th, 2010
Here’s an example of the awesome African mask we featured yesterday (Alocasia sanderiana, USDA Hardiness Zone 11) planted in a container. It’s joined in this edgy combo by a couple of blue-green echeverias (Echeveria sp., Zones 8-11) and a creeping wire vine (Muhlenbackia axillaris, Zones 8-10) in a traditional metal urn. It’s a great contrast in styles that’s anything but predictable.
